This is the real deal*

At evening mass last Sunday, the Santa Rosa RC parish coordinator, Fr Steve, went off script during his homily, to note that some persons in church are afraid to close their eyes during prayer.
He admitted to being careful to keep an eye open himself while on the altar one day recently, given some commotion which was taking place in the area.
“You don’t know any more who is the person sitting next to you. You are afraid to take chances,” he said, to knowing responses from his audience. People have been known to be robbed in church. A woman left her purse on her seat to receive the Blessed Sacrament at a church in Port of Spain a few years back. When she returned the purse was gone.
We have witnessed almost 500 murders last year.
