I would never find enough words to commend the editor of the Express for a very insightful and perceptive statement of the way forward for Tobago in light of what it terms the collapse of Tobago. The editorial, headlined “Quantifying the collapse” on February 4, points the country to a critical discussion that should be taking place right now. Forget when Tobago go get a boat and would it meet our purposes. The answer to those questions lies with the incompetents and people whose understanding of Tobago's needs is questionable, so we cannot put any importance on those questions right now. We will deal with them in the distant future, whenever a boat materialises.
Nothing has gone right for Tobago since the Galicia was banished from these shores last year.
