Ali pleased with his progress following WI U-15 England tour*

Vishnu Boys Hindu College student Sameer Ali is quietly emerging as one of the most talented prospects to coming through the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board youth teams. Recently, the leg-spinner returned home from his second tour of England with the West Indies Under-15 team.
“The tour to England was another success even though the team lost three out of the eight matches we player,” Ali said on his return home. “Compared to the first tour last year I was more successful at what I wanted to achieve in the second tour.”
The national youth player said he made significant strides with his bowling and batting. “The development of my cricket was extraordinary because last year I found a lot of difficulty with gripping the ball. This year it was not a task for me. Also, I improved on the batting in the English conditions significantly, and found it much more comfortable,” said the 15-year-old.
